Euronext Securities Oslo – historically VPS – will see Kristine Bastøe take over as CEO on 1 March. She has held the post of EVP Head of Product since 2019, after joining as a management consultant two years earlier.

Kristine Bastøe’s background includes leading an Ernst & Young advisory team within financial services. In the past decade she has focused on complex transformation projects, having previously worked in risk analysis and portfolio management. She holds an MSc in maths and a CFA degree from the Norwegian School of Economics.

Norway’s central securities depository was acquired together with the Oslo Børs exchange by the Euronext group in 2019. As Euronext is putting increasing weight on its post-trade leg, and is seeking synergies between its now five CSDs across Europe, it reorganised these in the past autumn into what is now collectively named Euronext Securities.
