Singapore-based global investment firm Lighthouse Canton has begun routing trades through Vestima, Clearstream’s fund processing platform.
The US5 billion manager, which is focussed on private credit, high-yield real assets, and structured credit solutions to generate high yield, sustainable income, is using the platform’s fund execution and custody services to enhance wealth management clients’ access to private market and semi-liquid investments.
An evolving investor landscape
Investors across Asia and the Middle East are increasingly seeking branded multi-capability firms to meet their needs. Campden Wealth, in particular, finds Asian family offices now allocate nearly 45% of their portfolios to alternative assets—a figure that has grown steadily over the past five years.
PwC also notes that private markets, which accounted for around US250 billion of revenue in 2022, will drive 50% of global revenue by 2027.
To meet these evolving needs, investment companies are advancing their distribution models, with Lighthouse Canton using processing systems such as Vestima to manage order execution, settlement and custody.
Institutional-grade infrastructure
A Clearstream press releases says the collaboration allows clients to benefit from institutional-grade infrastructure combining operational efficiency, robust asset protection, and compliance oversight. These features are increasingly sought after by high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth investors exploring alternative asset classes, it adds.
Audrey Tang, chief operating officer at Lighthouse Canton said: “Clearstream’s global reach and operational excellence allow us to enhance efficiency while expanding access to alternative investments, both of which are increasingly important in today’s market.”
Neil Wise, global head of sales for Clearstream Fund Services, said the provider’s reputation for asset safety and robust, reliable fund processing capabilities were key factors in the mandate. “We are proud to support Lighthouse Canton in its mission to serve sophisticated investors across Asia and the Middle East and help drive its future growth.”
