PostTrade 360° is taking its flagship event on the road. From 2027, the conference will move beyond its Nordic home for the first time, running one flagship event a year in a different global financial centre through to 2031.

The line-up

London — ExCeL, 9–11 November 2027

Milan — Allianz MiCo Convention Centre, 5–7 September 2028

Paris — Le Palais des Congrès, 4–6 September 2029

Singapore — Marina Bay Sands, 3–5 September 2030

Toronto — Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 2–4 September 2031

The touring event will also run longer: from 2027, each stop spans three days, up from two in Stockholm — roughly 50% more content, or 150+ sessions. The format itself doesn’t change. It’s the same festival-style structure delegates know from Stockholm: several rooms running content in parallel, hour-long session slots, networking throughout, and the evening dinner. Only the duration extends.

The expansion follows years of steady internationalisation of the Stockholm event itself, reflecting the industry’s growing interconnectedness. PostTrade 360° began as a series of separate Nordic gatherings before organisers Financial Media Group 360 saw the case for one consolidated event.

Daniele Truini, CEO of Financial Media Group 360, explained the rationale: “When we first consolidated the Nordic events into one, we asked the industry if they wanted us to go back to separate national events. They said no. Now, with more of our audience coming from outside Europe, we’re taking the same principle further: going global.”

That shift is already visible in the numbers. Of the 2,000+ delegates expected to join this year’s Stockholm event, more than half are non-Nordic — a reversal from the event’s early years, when Nordic delegates significantly outnumbered international attendees.

The organisers are framing the move as a response to a global industry, not a series of regional spin-offs. Rather than running standalone regional events, PostTrade 360° will keep a single global event each year — with the ambition of growing today’s single country- or region-focused session into several, each covering a different angle of that region.

The model mirrors how the event already treats individual themes. A subject like asset servicing doesn’t get one session — it’s built out into a cluster of sessions, each taking a different angle on the same theme, so the full picture is covered from multiple vantage points on one platform. The plan is to apply that same logic geographically: rather than a single Middle East session, for example, delegates will find the region’s post-trade landscape explored across several sessions — an event within an event, moving from the big picture down into specific focus areas, all inside the one global gathering.

“We’re not looking to create separate pockets of events — an Africa event, an Asia event, a North America event, a Middle East event. We want one global event, with those regions properly represented within it,” Truini added.

Vision: the ambition to become the largest post-trade ops event that tours globally

The global vision reflects PostTrade 360°’s ambition to become the largest dedicated securities post-trade operations event that tours globally. Truini says it’s about staying true to the event’s core: “This is for the dedicated post-trade operations community, representing the entire securities value chain, and no one else. Just us.”

That focus, the organisers argue, is what makes the community work. At a generalist event, delegates have to search the room for the handful of people in their specific field. At a dedicated post-trade event, the room is already theirs.

“PostTrade 360° has developed into a fantastic platform for the industry and I’m proud of having been part of it for more than 10 years. I know PostTrade 360° will be the most important meeting place for the securities industry going forward”
