VIDEO | Regulatory data reported under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation could be used as early-warning indicators by supervisory authorities, EU market authority ESMA suggests. Having studied the $10bn bankruptcy of US billionaire Bill Hwang’s hedge-fund-style family office Archegos last year, ESMA risk analyst Martin Haferkorn joined PostTrade 360° Copenhagen to demonstrate how the data was telling the scary story all along.

Martin Haferkorn is risk analysis officer with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
