Korean digital asset service provider BDACS has entered a partnership with Pinetree Securities to access tokenised investment products for institutional use. The arrangement gives BDACS access to Franklin Templeton’s sgBENJI tokenised money market fund, according to the companies.
BDACS says the onboarding makes it the first regulated digital asset service provider in Korea to access blockchain-native, regulated investment products via an institutional securities partner. Through Pinetree Securities, BDACS can interact with tokenised instruments structured to fit within compliant capital markets frameworks.
The partnership includes access to sgBENJI, Franklin Templeton’s tokenised money market fund issued on public blockchain infrastructure. The fund is designed for institutional use cases such as on-chain settlement and treasury management.
Demand for tokenised cash
According to BDACS, the collaboration reflects increasing interest among regulated institutions in the Asia-Pacific region in tokenised cash and short-duration investment products that can be integrated into existing financial and operational structures.
