INTERVIEW @Sibos | In this Squawk Box interview at Sibos Miami, DTCC’s Thomas Sullivan shares insights from the FMI’s summer testing of tokenisation use cases, following the industry session “One settlement asset or many: Designing the future of global settlement”. He explains that some use cases, such as collateral, can settle instantly without a cash leg, with a programmability layer removing the need for cash altogether. DTCC has also seen strong demand for tokenised money market funds. He describes how its tokenisation service is designed as an enabler, letting the market choose the settlement currency that works for it.
