November has marked quite a few changes for Northern Trust’s Nordic leadership. The bank recently welcomed Petra Sjögerås as its new head of Nordic region, shortly after announcing the appointment of Mikkel Mördrup as its head of sales for the region.

In her new role, Petra Sjögerås will lead Northern Trust’s asset servicing business in its client management, growth, and innovation strategy. She replaces Bo Thulin, who stepped into the role of chief administrative officer for Northern Trust’s EMEA Asset Owner business this month. Petra Sjögerås brings with her 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to her current appointment, she was the acting head of the Nordics for Northern Trust.

As head of sales, Mikkel Mördrup will lead Northern Trust’s business development and growth strategy in the Nordic region. He replaces Struan Malcolm, who left Northern Trust after 10 years to join fund selection and reporting platform Fundrella as partner and COO. Mikkel Mördrup comes with more than 25 years of experience in the industry and was previously group CEO of asset management and software firm ISEC.
