MUFG Investor Services has appointed its chief operating officer, McAllister (Mac) Kirschner, as CEO, following the departure of John Sergides for health-related reasons. The appointment took effect immediately, the company announced.
Kirschner joined MUFG Investor Services in 2016 and has been COO since 2018, overseeing business and banking operations across public and private markets. Before taking on the COO role, he served as global head of relationship management.
His previous experience includes a managing director position in BlackRock’s Global Fund Services business, where he led teams responsible for shareholder servicing, fund administration and trade operations for alternative investments. He also headed investor relations at Quellos Group, whose private funds business was later acquired by BlackRock.
MUFG Investor Services provides asset servicing to alternative investment managers and has approximately $1.29 trillion in assets under administration. It is part of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group.
