G.H. Financials has deployed Baton Systems’ intraday liquidity management platform across more than 100 nostro, CCP and carry broker accounts, according to a statement from the companies.
The implementation combines Baton’s Balance Manager and Exposure Manager to provide a near real-time view of cash balances, initial and variation margin requirements, collateral on deposit, and excess or deficit positions across 17 currencies, multiple legal entities and time zones. The companies state that key account connectivity was established within eight weeks.
Previously, cash positions and margin obligations were aggregated from multiple systems and reporting cycles. According to the announcement, the platform replaces this with a single view that is updated as new data becomes available from each venue and includes historical intraday and end-of-day information.
“We can now make confident funding decisions faster and more accurately anticipate and proactively address upcoming liquidity needs,” says Kieran O’Regan, chief financial officer at G.H. Financials.
Baton founder and CEO Arjun Jayaram says the deployment uses the firm’s existing institutional infrastructure and extends it to support the operational requirements of a non-bank futures commission merchant. He adds that such capabilities will become increasingly important as tokenised collateral and extended market hours develop.
