Marc De Rycke becomes group chief information officer at Euroclear, with Claus Norup appointed as his deputy.

He succeeds Michal Paprocki, who has departed the firm. 

The Euroclear veteran’s experience spans finance, technology, operations, and transformation. Most recently, he has been head of Strategic Initiatives which includes an AI enablement programme. In his new role, De Rycke will report directly to Valérie Urbain, the group CEO and he joins the group executive committee.

Claus Norup, in his current role as CISO, leads Euroclear’s cyber defence strategy. He will report in a dual line to De Rycke and to Urbain. 

De Rycke and Norup will focus on production stability, cyber security and resilience while accelerating the technology contribution to Euroclear’s business and innovation agenda.
