Clearstream is expanding its Digital Transfer Agency (Digital TA) offering by rolling it out to additional markets and integrating the solution into its fund services infrastructure, according to the company.

Digital TA is a blockchain-based software solution for transfer agency functions. Built on the FundsDLT platform, it automates processes including fund issuance, investor register management, KYC, AML integration and corporate actions. The platform operates as a Software-as-a-Service solution for asset managers and asset servicers.

According to Clearstream, the integration follows Deutsche Börse Group’s acquisition of FundsDLT and brings the technology into Clearstream Fund Services.

Supporting fund tokenisation

The company positions Digital TA as part of its strategy to support fund tokenisation by digitising transfer agency processes while allowing firms to continue using existing fund servicing workflows.

Clearstream says clients using the solution have achieved operational cost reductions of up to 50 per cent. The company also states that more than €11 billion in on-chain assets have been processed through its digital fund infrastructure.

“Digital Transfer Agency is a solution that has already delivered tangible results for clients,” says Olivier Portenseigne. He adds that integrating the technology into Clearstream combines it with “the scale, security and regulatory robustness of global market infrastructure.”
