Chris Vogelzang, from the Netherlands, will take the helm as CEO at Danske Bank after Thomas Borgen who had to step down in connection with the Baltic money laundry scandal.
17 years with ABN Amro, eight of which as head of global retail and private banking, are part of the background for Chris Vogelzang. So are 12 years at Shell.
His first day at work will be 1 June. Jesper Nielsen, who is interim CEO, will stay in his current position as head of the group’s Danish banking activities and member of the executive board.
