Fund managers could enjoy a net inflow, into UCITS funds, of an impressive €86 billion for the month, their association EFAMA reports.

Net sales of €39 billion for bond funds and €46 billion for money-market funds made up the bulk of the past year’s highest monthly UCITS net figure by far.

The numbers are in the monthly summary for July by the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA).

Meanwhile net transaction totals were small for equity funds, multi-asset funds and other UCITS funds.

AIFs show steady attraction

Out of the total net assets for UCITS and AIF funds, €16,900 billion, UCITS make up 61 percent, and AIFs correspondingly 39 percent.

For the AIFs, the net sales stayed in positive terrain, as it has done in 11 out of 12 previous months. Yet the level of €8 billion in totalt AIF net sales for July was moderate compared to the figures around €15 billion per month in the preceding quarter.
