VIDEO | With all kinds of fees challenged across investment operations, firms and servicers are increasingly focusing on getting their data handling right. In a PostTrade 360° Copenhagen session on Tuesday, BNY Mellon’s Duncan Cooper advised against being overly strategic.
The session was sponsored by BNY Mellon
The discussion was called “A revolution in investment operations – unlocking innovation through data”. On stage, it saw …
Ejvind Hald, Senior Sales Engineer, Snowflake,
Paula Avraamides, Client Executive, Nordics, BNY Mellon, and
Duncan Cooper, Head of OMNI Digital Services, EMEA and APAC, BNY Mellon.
“Perfection is boring,” said Duncan Cooper. “Stop trying to build the perfect system, because it will be outdated in 3–5 years anyway.” Rather, he proposed building basic capabilities, able to support faster development of functionality as needs develop and change.
