Franklin Templeton has announced a collaboration with Singapore’s DBS Bank to launch Franklin Onchain US Dollar Short-Term Money Market Fund, the country’s first money market fund with a tokenised register.

The fund is already available to DBS’ wealth clients and accredited investors. Access to retail investors is expected in Q1 of 2026, with a low minimum investment sum of just US$20.

Franklin Templeton states in a press release that by enabling fractional ownership with such low minimum investment thresholds, tokenised funds have “the potential to democratise access to high quality, blockchain integrated investment strategies”.

The fund uses Franklin Templeton’s Benji Technology Platform for blockchain integrated record keeping. The platform offers investors enhanced transparency by providing real-time fund data, better liquidity, and daily yield accrual.
