Euronext has expanded Euronext Clearing’s CCP services to include cryptocurrency exchange traded products (ETPs) listed on its markets. The exchange operator describes the move, which came into effect on 3 March, as “a significant step in integrating digital assets into the regulated financial ecosystem”.

In its statement on this development, the firm points out that the expansion of clearing services is “crucial in driving broader adoption of cryptocurrency ETPs within the regulated financial system”. Investors can now get access to “a wider selection of ETPs underlying cryptocurrencies while benefiting from the security, efficiency, and transparency of a regulated marketplace”.

As of the end of February 2025, Euronext’s markets count a total of 156 listed and traded crypto ETPs from multiple issuers.
