Digital asset technology firm EDX Markets has announced a strategic partnership with digital asset infrastructure provider BitGo Trust Company. The partnership will see the integration of Go Network, BitGo’s settlement rails, with EDX’s trading technology. Simultaneously, BitGo Prime, BitGo’s digital asset trading platform for institutions, will join EDX Markets as a member.
Clients of EDX Markets can now trade and settle directly with BitGo Trust’s regulated, qualified custodial services, minimising their exchange exposure. These services are enhanced by netted settlement and insurance coverage for safeguarded assets of up to US$250 million.
The two firms aim to encourage institutions in traditional finance (TradFi) to explore the digital asset market by applying the same standards found in TradFi for infrastructure and regulations.
EDX Markets CEO Tony Acuña-Rohter says that the integration of BitGo addresses “the need for robust mitigation structures” to help create “a secure and efficient trading environment that attracts more institutional participants”.
