Chainlink has entered into a partnership with LG CNS, the technology arm of LG Group, to build regulated digital asset solutions in Korea.
The collaboration will bring Chainlink’s industry-standard oracle infrastructure into LG CNS’ digital asset platform solution to support secure connectivity across blockchain networks and institutional systems. LG CNS is the leading technology provider for Project Hangang, Bank of Korea’s digital currency initiative.
With Korea’s digital asset market currently estimated at US$68 billion, the goal is to advance technical standards, expand the utility and distribution of Korean stablecoins, and build the oracle, interoperability, and cross-chain standards needed to scale regulated digital assets across the country.
In a statement, Johann Eid, chief business officer of Chainlink said that this partnership “establishes the foundation for compliant digital asset infrastructure in Korea” and gives Korean institutions “a secure and reliable foundation for moving tokenised money across systems and networks”.
