Former FundsDLT CEO to drive tokenisation adoption and bridge traditional and digital distribution channels
Apex Group has appointed Olivier Portenseigne as global head of transfer agency products, as the fund services provider steps up innovation across transfer agency and fund distribution.
Based in Luxembourg, Portenseigne will lead the group’s global transfer agency product strategy and innovation agenda. His remit centres on scaling adoption of Apex’s existing tokenisation capabilities and drawing investor servicing and distribution closer together across traditional and digital channels, reflecting the growing convergence of traditional finance and decentralised finance in the funds industry.
Portenseigne joins from FundsDLT, Clearstream’s blockchain-based fund distribution and transfer agency platform, where he served as CEO. In that role he worked across the investment funds ecosystem to develop new approaches to fund distribution and transfer agency, using distributed ledger technology to connect asset managers, distributors and investors.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in fund distribution, transfer agency and financial market infrastructure, with a particular focus on digital assets, tokenisation and new distribution models for investment funds.
Apex said the appointment reinforces its continued investment in transfer agency, fund distribution and digital assets, and strengthens Luxembourg’s role as an innovation hub within the group.
