Takasbank, Turkey’s central clearing and settlement institution, has joined the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA), signalling a step toward deeper integration with global securities lending markets.

Headquartered in Istanbul, Takasbank provides clearing, settlement, custody, central counterparty (CCP), and banking services in Turkey’s capital markets. The institution has been offering CCP services for securities lending since 2013.

ISLA, which represents over 200 firms across the EMEA region, focuses on shaping market standards and best practices. In its announcement, the association highlighted its intention to work with Takasbank to support the development of securities lending in Turkey.
