State Street is providing end-to-end servicing for Dimensional Fund Advisors’ new actively managed UCITS ETFs, which have listed on the London Stock Exchange and Xetra in Frankfurt. The initial offerings, the Global Core Equity UCITS ETF and the Targeted Value UCITS ETF, are domiciled in Ireland and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, according to State Street.
The firm’s services for the launch cover custody, depositary functions, fund accounting, ETF basket creation, create/redeem order management, settlement, transfer agency, and reporting.
The launch follows Dimensional’s earlier active ETF rollouts in the United States and Australia. Andreas Constantoulakis, head of ETF Capital Markets, EMEA at Dimensional, noted that European investors are increasingly seeking access to ETFs alongside UCITS funds and separate accounts. He said State Street’s technology and operational support were key to preparing the launch.
State Street described its involvement in ETF markets as spanning more than 30 years, noting its participation in the global $18.5 trillion ETF market. Ken Shaw, head of EMEA ETF Product at State Street, said the firm’s infrastructure and experience position it to support Dimensional’s entry into the European UCITS market. The firm says that its technology and scalable operating model enable clients to manage fund launches and ongoing operations across asset classes and strategies.
