SBI Securities is going to offer equities brokerage services to clients in the UK. The Japanese securities firm has selected Broadridge’s Swift Service Bureau to automate Swift messaging workflows with its custodian.
SBI Securities already uses Broadridge’s services to process its Japanese equities in Hong Kong and Singapore, according to a Broadridge press release. Its equities brokerage services in the UK will be distributed through its subsidiary, SBI Shinsei International.
Ichiro Takahashi, the head of global operations at SBI Securities, expresses optimism about the partnership. He emphasises that it has allowed them to swiftly enter the UK market, while leveraging the benefits of the existing application service provider (ASP) cloud environment.
