The Polish chamber of fund and asset managers Izba Zarządzających Funduszami i Aktywami (IZFiA) has joined the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA). In a press release announcing the affiliation, EFAMA pointed out that Poland is EU’s sixth largest economy, and that IZFIA’s membership would enhance its political influence as the organisation strives for a Capital Markets Union (CMU) in Europe.
As the latest member of EFAMA, IZFIA joins a rank of 28 other national associations and 54 corporations. In a statement, IZFIA CEO Małgorzata Rusewicz expressed her belief that the membership is “an opportunity for active participation on the international stage”.
