The Kazakhstan Central Securities Depository has become a member of the International Securities Services Association (ISSA). The CSD says in a press release that this makes Kazakhstan the only regional representative in ISSA.

Adil Mukhamejanov, chairman of the management board of the Kazakhstan Central Securities Depository, emphasises the benefits of this membership: “Joining ISSA opens up new prospects for the development of the Kazakhstan stock market. This will provide access to international standards and best practices, furthering the development of our central securities depository.”

ISSA focuses on progressive solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness from issuers to investors. This membership allows the Kazakhstan Central Securities Depository to collaborate with industry groups and international experts, fostering continuous development and adherence to high standards.

The Kazakhstan Central Securities Depository is also a member of several other industry associations, including the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD), the Association of European Central Securities Depositories (ECSDA), the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), and the Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG).
