Nordea Asset Management (NAM) has appointed J.P. Morgan Securities Services to support its newly launched BetaPlus exchange-traded funds. Under the agreement, J.P. Morgan will provide a range of services including fund accounting, custody, transfer agency, order taking, ETF servicing and basket services, reports ETF Express.
The BetaPlus ETFs introduce NAM’s EUR 60 billion BetaPlus family of active enhanced strategies in a more flexible and tradable format. The strategies have previously been available only through UCITS mutual funds and institutional mandates. According to NAM, the move responds to client demand for efficiency, accessibility and transparency, while retaining the features of an actively managed and sustainability-integrated approach.
Growing ETF activity
“We are seeing tremendous growth in Europe, particularly in the active ETF segment of the market, so it is a pleasure to have worked on this strategic partnership with NAM, increasing our relationship across both firms.”Comments Ciaran Fitzpatrick, Global Head of ETF Product Management at J.P. Morgan.
“The BetaPlus ETF range will build on the incredible success of the existing NAM BetaPlus mutual fund structure across Europe, and we are delighted to be part of that story,” he adds.
