IDClear, Indonesia’s CCP, has activated the bilateral business line on Megara, the post-trade processing solution by finance software provider Vermeg.
In a press release, Vermeg describes the move as a “key step” to strengthen Indonesia’s financial market infrastructure and deepen liquidity in the money market. By integrating bilateral repo processing, IDClear should see improved collateral efficiency and mobilisation, and an increase in the range of CCP services it can provide its members.
The activation of the bilateral business line builds on IDClear’s existing connection with Megara, which has been in place since 2021. The platform is currently used by Bank Indonesia and eight other local banks in the country, serving as a scalable tool for Indonesia’s post-trade ecosystem.
