Euroclear has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Uptevia from BNP Paribas and CACEIS. Uptevia is equally owned by the two banks.

Through Uptevia, Euroclear will add specialist issuer capabilities including register management, general meetings, employee share plans and corporate action support to complement its existing market infrastructure and post-trade services across key European markets, including Belgium, France, the Netherlands, the Nordics and the United Kingdom.

Valerie Urbain, Euroclear’s CEO, said proposed acquisition supports Euroclear’s ambition to develop a broader pan-European issuer services proposition, aligned with the Savings and Investments Union objectives, “helping us better serve issuers across both equity and debt capital markets while preserving the strengths that have made Uptevia successful.”
