Euroclear Sweden has announced that Astrid Algulin will assume the role of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) on 1 April. According to a press release, Algulin brings significant expertise in risk management, financial auditing, and leadership roles within the financial sector. She is currently the chief financial officer (CFO) at EP Bank, formerly known as Erik Penser Bank.
Euroclear Sweden’s CEO, Roger T. Storm, highlights her extensive experience as a key asset to the organisation. “Astrid’s background in risk management and her role as CFO will strengthen our executive team,” Storm states.
Algulin expresses enthusiasm for her new role. “I am excited to join Euroclear Sweden and contribute to the company’s business development from a risk management perspective,” she says.
She will succeed Kristina Åkerberg, who has served as CRO since 2017. Åkerberg will transition to a new position within the Euroclear group following her departure.
