DTCC will integrate Chainlink’s Cross‑Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) Runtime Environment and data standards into its Collateral AppChain, enabling a unified, on‑chain framework for real‑time collateral mobility and automation across global markets.
DTCC said the move will allow the Collateral AppChain’s advanced eligibility, valuation, margining, optimisation and settlement processes to operate on a shared, reusable interoperability layer. Rather than relying on bespoke, one‑off integrations, Chainlink’s Runtime Environment provides a scalable framework that can support new data types, asset classes and collateral use cases as the ecosystem expands.
How it works
As a shared infrastructure platform, the Collateral AppChain is designed to offer a common, interoperable foundation for collateral providers, receivers and managers, as well as triparty agents and custodians. By standardising how asset prices, valuations and agreement terms are represented on‑chain, the platform aims to reduce fragmentation and enable participants to operate from a single, real‑time source of truth.
DTCC said the integration will also provide access to a resilient data and orchestration layer, unlocking automation across the AppChain environment and supporting the industry’s shift toward continuous, cross‑border collateral mobility.
