The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has launched OTC Direct Connect, a service the firm describes as enabling “seamless access to OTC derivatives transactions data that are reportable in the US and Canada”. It eliminates manual data collection methods by giving automated access to published data on DTCC Data Repository’s Public Price Dissemination Dashboard.
Through Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) AWS Data Exchange, OTC Direct Connect users can find and use third-party data in the cloud. AWS Data Exchange can also be natively integrated with other AWS services, including Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Athena and Amazon Redshift so that data storage can be streamlined into the user’s own systems and applications.
In a press release announcing the launch of the service, Tim Lind, managing director of DTCC Data Services says, “OTC Direct Connect improves transparency in the OTC derivatives markets, as intended by regulatory disclosure mandates, by providing subscribers with improved information access.”
