CERC, Brazil’s largest financial market infrastructure (FMI) by volume of processed transactions, has gone live with VeriClear, the cloud-native clearing system by Vermiculus, a solutions provider of trading, clearing, and CSD technology.

With VeriClear, CERC will now be able to process and settle multiple asset classes in real time. The microservice-based clearing system monitors and manages receivables and risks across multiple markets in addition to providing an in-depth overview of the transaction chain. It is powered by application programming interfaces (APIs) and artificial intelligent (AI) functions that are presented on a dynamic graphical user interface (GUI) dashboard. The dashboard is designed to enable drill-down possibilities and error handling and has the capacity to gather business intelligence.

CERC received authorisation from the Brazilian Central Bank as well as the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) in 2025 to operate as a settlement system and a CSD. Since then, the firm has become a specialist in settling receivables, also covering netting transactions and delivery-versus-payment (DvP) transactions.
