Broadridge has appointed Mark Nichols as co-president of its digital assets business, according to the company’s announcement.
Nichols will oversee strategy, product development and execution for Broadridge’s digital assets activities together with co-president German Soto Sanchez. He joins from E&Y, where he co-led the firm’s digital asset consulting business and led its market infrastructure consulting practice. Earlier in his career, he held product roles covering FCM, collateral and funding at Deutsche Bank.
Commenting on the appointment, Broadridge CEO Tim Gokey said digital assets are “a critical part of the next generation of market infrastructure” and that Nichols’ experience “will help us accelerate those efforts.”
Nichols said Broadridge is “uniquely positioned to help shape how digital assets are integrated into the financial system at scale,” referring to the company’s role in trading and governance.
