Maybank Asset Management Singapore has tokenised its first money market fund on Marketnode’s on-chain DLT infrastructure.
The launch integrates tokenisation with traditional capital markets infrastructure: Marketnode’s modular platform, Gateway, will provide the core tokenisation architecture, while BNP Paribas Securities Services serves as transfer agent.
Andrew Scott, head of digital assets at Marketnode, said the latest partnership “underscores the power of collaboration across the financial ecosystem. By bridging infrastructural gaps and uniting expertise across our partners, we are defining what the next generation of trusted, interoperable markets can look like in Asia.” The Singapore-based digital market infrastructure operator was set up in 2021 to help digital asset projects from concept to production. It is owned by the Singapore Exchange, Temasek, Euroclear and HSBC.
Luc Renard, head of Southeast Asia, Securities Services, BNP Paribas, noted the role of traditional financial services in driving tokenised forms of money market funds as increasingly important. “To support this, we are proud to put our on-the-ground specialist teams, global operating model, and technology-driven approach in collaboration with Maybank Asset Management Singapore.”
