Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has announced a partnership with MUFG Investor Services, with the latter providing enhanced securities lending services globally to the sector of BBH clients that are asset managers and financial institutions. The two firms are jointly developing an integrated model across BBH’s workflows.

The partnership aims to offer BBH clients expanded market coverage, trading opportunities, collateral flexibility, and approved borrowers. Additionally it also offers indemnification backed by Japan’s largest banking group – MUFG Investor Services is a division of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation under the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. BBH will handle coordination between the two firms to ensure “seamless integration in the delivery of custody and securities lending services for BBH clients”.
