Euroclear has announced a collaboration with Ares to make the asset manager’s private market strategies available via its FundsPlace platform, according to a statement from Euroclear.

Ares provides investment strategies across credit, private equity, real estate and infrastructure, and has expanded its distribution in the wealth segment in recent years through partnerships with banks, platforms and advisory networks.

Broaden access

The collaboration is intended to broaden access to private market investments for wealth investors and address some of the operational complexity associated with these products.

Euroclear FundsPlace is the group’s fund distribution platform, covering mutual funds, ETFs and alternative and private funds. According to Euroclear, it connects around 250,000 funds representing close to €4 trillion in assets, and serves more than 3,000 fund distributors and 2,500 asset managers globally.

Simplifying the investment process

The announcement reflects continued expansion of private market offerings within existing fund distribution infrastructure. The collaboration with Ares adds private market strategies to the FundsPlace environment, with the stated aim of simplifying the investment process and extending availability through established distribution channels.
