With 25 years’ experience as a journalist and content expert on post-trade matters, Janet Du Chenne joins PostTrade 360° to support the next step of development for its news site.

“A strategist – with a human lens.” This is how Janet Du Chenne describes her professional self at its briefest.

Joining the team in October, Janet’s initial focus will be to contribute to the editorial content of the news site and newsletter.

“I have been following both the convening elements and the editorial elements of PostTrade 360°, and I will be excited to contribute to the combination with my editorial strategy hat on,” says Janet Du Chenne.

She sees the community- and person-oriented approach of PostTrade 360° as a good fit not only with her own values, but also with the industry’s current top needs: “The role of the post trade communities will be fundamental as it evolves. We will be seeking to foster and enable these communities – with a future lens set on growth.”

Magazines and custodians

Having moved from her native South Africa to London around the millennium shift, Janet’s career has seen her hold senior positions at several publications, including Global Custodian and, more recently, focusing on editorial and content marketing at Deutsche Bank and BBH Investor Services.

Among other team members, Janet will be working with the CEO, Daniele Truini and Alexander Kristofersson, head of editorial and internal operations. Alexander has guided the editorial content since the launch in 2019 (producing it single-handedly for the first three years) but will now focus on the processes and interaction experiences for audiences and partners, such as the 360° team’s new webshop for its clients.

“Getting Janet onto our team is incredible,” comments Daniele Truini. “Her combination of topical depth and journalistic seniority is unrivalled in the post-trade world – as the many pros across her global network are already aware. Then her considerate style and social context awareness comes on top. With our ambitions to hit the next gear on our editorial effort – to match the sustained growth of our audiences and the geographic expansion of our event scope – this is a development we could only have dreamt of.”

Long run

Janet is the Founder of ThoughtTree Lab, which offers executive personal branding and editorial services to financial and media brands. She makes freelance contributions to Deutsche Bank’s flow magazine and provides personal brand and content services to the EU T+1 Industry Committee, working closely with its chair Giovanni Sabatini.

Then, as many pros know, she is also a runner … with a love for networking. Several conferences have seen her organise morning jogs at an inclusive “social pace”. Stockholm’s PostTrade 360° event in September was the latest, with over 30 industry insider joggers showing up for a pulse raiser along the lake Mälaren bank.
