“The shortening of the settlement cycle is causing a rethink in the funds industry” 

A significant number of fund managers told us that decisions around adjusting fund‑dealing cycles – especially for UCITS and ETFs – depend heavily on clarity from transfer agents, distributors, CSDs and regulators. We asked Susan Yavari, deputy director, Capital Markets and Digital at the European Fund and Asset Management Association how fund settlement cycles are evolving in light of the forthcoming change to T+1 in Europe.
