DA20, which lays claim to being the world’s first digital asset exchange traded product (ETP) indexed to MSCI, is now listed on Euronext Paris. Issued by ETC Group, a provider of digital asset-backed securities, the ETP was initially launched in April 2023 on Deutsche Börse XETRA in Germany and tracks the performance of MSCI’s Global Digital Assets Select Top 20 Capped Index.
In a press release announcing the listing, ETC Group described the index as one that represents 20 leading digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. DA20 covers about 85 percent of the crypto market. It is “secured against issuer insolvency risk by a trustee” and its tokens are “securely stored in cold storage by a regulated crypto custodian”.
ETC Group co-founder Bradley Duke stated that the product “offers an efficient means to passively invest and diversify across the breadth of the crypto asset market through a single, regulated capital market product”.
