Two Nordic banks have appointed new leaders to their securities services businesses. One of the moves takes a senior DNB custody executive to rival Swedbank.
Carl-Magnus Broström has joined Swedbank as head of Securities Services. He was previously Head of Securities Services and Custody, Sweden, at DNB Markets.
“I am delighted to take on this role and to continue building on Swedbank’s strong offering for custody clients together with our talented team,” Broström said.
He joins as Swedbank rolls out a new, fully integrated core custody platform. Broström described the platform as a key step in supporting future financial infrastructure developments and client demands.
Separately, Michael Holmgaard Mortensen has joined DNB Carnegie as head of Investor Services. Mortensen left Danske Bank in September, where he was head of Markets Post Trade Technology.
“I am looking forward to working with colleagues and clients across the Nordics to deliver solutions that support their ambitions and create lasting value,” Mortensen said in a LinkedIn post.
