VIDEO | The operational implications of competitive pressure, and continuing consolidation in the Swedish fund industry, were topic for a panel at PostTrade 360° Stockholm on Wednesday morning.

With the overall industry’s fees for active management expected to be cheese-sliced by a third through the 2018–2024 period, fund operationals cannot rest on their laurels. The challenges also include increased regulatory challenges, increased technology costs and shifting product demand.

Struan Malcolm, Head of Nordic Sales with Northern Trust, led the talk with Ashley Sheen, Managing Director of Sionic, and Albin Rosengren, Partner at Swedish asset manager East Capital.
